Jeff Aresty is President and founder of the Internet Bar Organization, a non-profit dedicated to shaping the rule of law in cyberspace.
InternetBar.org (IBO) is the first virtual bar association of its kind. Founded in 2005, convened by over a dozen legal and diplomatic professionals from around the world, IBO introduced business, legal and government leaders to the urgency of harmonizing Internet law in a way that is fair, accessible and promotes human rights.
PeaceTones is an initiative of IBO dedicated to implementing justice education projects that provide artists in the developing world with marketing and legal knowledge and access to online platforms. The organization works to empower citizens from the ground up by connecting them with the tools needed for economic self-determination. PeaceTones team members have worked with citizens in Seirra Leone, Brazil, Balan, Haiti and Kenya to bring musicians together and help them use technology as a means to rise above and help to improve the economic conditions of their home countries.
Launched in the Summer of 2013, the Center for Innovative Justice and Technology is an initiative of the Internet Bar Organization. The Center’s mission is to improve access to justice through knowledge-sharing, challenging conventional notions of the law, and by exploring how technology can impact and improve global justice. We provide cutting-edge courses, news and conversations on the latest developments and technologies in the legal and dispute resolution fields.
